Those
film memories from 40, 50,
even 70 years ago, are at risk of being
lost!
Time,
storage conditions and the system you may use to play those old reels of
film, could damage or destroy years of memories. The only way to
enjoy your old home movies is to protect them by having
your film transferred to video.
Film conversion is a
two-step process. We convert
your 8mm, Super8, 16mm, Sound or Silent films to
digital video. We can then add
music, text graphics, and even edit
the sequence of your film to make it more
enjoyable. Finally, we can output your film to
DVD, Blu-ray Disc,
videotape or computer video files.

We do all
film transferin-house. We do not
send your priceless films across the country
for some other company to transfer.
We
will be happy to give you an estimate when you bring in your order.
Why does MVP charge by the
minute?
Charging by the minute saves you money and creates a better,
more enjoyable video. With most
companies, if you bring in a 400-foot reel of
film they will charge by the foot. For example, 400 feet x
14¢ = $56.
At MVP, we watch as your film is
converted. If you have a blank section, or the film is so
overexposed you can't see anything, or the film is just all black,
we cut out the bad sectionsfrom your
video (if at least 4 seconds long). After your film is
captured in our editing systems, we time the video. For
example,
convert a 400-foot reel and cut out very
little, there might be 28 minutes.
So 28 minutes x $1.75 = $49.
If your reel had more bad film and let's say we cut out
3 minutes, 25 x $1.75
= $43.75.
So not only do you save money, but your video is more enjoyable to
watch.
